Clinical Supervision in the Helping Professions

I offer clinical supervision to professionals in various helping roles.
Having gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision for the Helping Professions from the University of Salford. I bring a solid foundation of academic knowledge, professional skill, and a compassionate approach to every supervision session.
My Approach to Supervision
My primary model of supervision is based on the Hawkins and Shohet 7-Eyed Model, which provides a comprehensive framework for examining the therapeutic relationship from multiple perspectives. This model encourages both the supervisee and supervisor to explore various "eyes" or areas of focus, including:
The client’s experience and issues.
The strategies and interventions used by the practitioner.
The relationship between the practitioner and the client.
The practitioner’s personal experience of their work.
The relationship between the supervisor and the practitioner.
The supervisor’s internal process.
The broader systemic context influencing the work.
Each of these perspectives allows for a deep and multi-dimensional understanding of the therapeutic process, promoting self-awareness, skill development, and insight into complex cases. This model is particularly valuable as it encourages reflection and growth at every level of the practitioner’s work.
A Humanistic and Integrative Approach
My supervision style is both humanistic and integrative. This means I view each supervisee as a unique individual and support their growth by considering their specific needs, strengths, and therapeutic approaches. I integrate techniques from various theoretical backgrounds to provide flexible and adaptive support, ensuring that each supervision session is relevant, reflective, and enriching. My aim is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel respected and supported in your personal and professional development.
